101-Zの始まりは、1926年に発表した同名のジッパーフライジーンズ。当時、まだ特殊で物珍しかったジッパーを他に先んじて採用した牧童向けのワークパンツは、彼らサドルワーカーの生活習慣をより楽に、よりシンプルに進化させた。それが第二次大戦中の生産休止を経て国内向けの生産体制が安定した戦後に復活。COWBOYシリーズのDNAを受け継ぎながらRIDERSの名を冠した。今回復刻のターゲットとなったのは、カウボーイの多い中西部だけでなく東部の都市に住む人々に向けてLee社が勝負に出た1948年のモデルです！
